@@BrianandCarrie Thought I would also mention that double L's in Spanish, like in Allende, normally is pronounced similar to the Y in yes and sounds like yeh. Example- Ah-yen-day. There are actually four slightly different ways to pronounce double L's in Spanish and a hard L isn't any of them. Buena suerte!

I'm retired American and my mother owned a house there in San Miguel de Allende for many years. There's a number of good restaurants and cafes there and expect to pay more for a hotel or place or meal there, but it's probably my favorite place here in Mexico.

Loved this video which reminded us of our fun times in SM. If you are still there, you might enjoy the La Gruta Hot Springs. About a $10 cab ride there (then $10 back to town), entry fee about $15 pp, but it is very worth it. Google for pics. Wednesday is best day because they close on Monday & Tuesday and everything is fresh and terrific on Wednesday (and not crowded), but we go there in February, so days closed, etc. might be different now. If you’ve left already, maybe put on the list for next time!

RUclipsrs should have a way to filter out comments from people venting their frustration, jealousy, or envy over a mispronounced Spanish word, as if mispronouncing a foreign word is some kind of disgrace or the end of the world. Having a bit of patience with some ignorant comments is fine, but trolling decent creators is not acceptable.
